| Round on the Ends and Hi in the Middle | 11.22.06 |
This is a picture of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We stopped in there for a few hours when we played at John Carroll University this past week. Thanks to everyone who came out and took time out from watching Grey’s Anatomy to join us. It was a blast as usual. If you are ever down in Ohio make sure to stop in to the R&R Hall of Fame. We could have spent the whole day there. There is a big Clash exhibit now because they were just inducted. There was a ton of other cool stuff too like Jim Morison’s cub scout uniform from when he was 8 and hand written lyrics from John Lennon songs and all of David Bowie’s stage costumes…lots of fun. We also lucked out and got to eat some good food too. The hotel that they put us up in was right across the street from a PF Chang’s so after many lettuce wraps we headed home. We have been all over the place lately so it is good to be back home and can’t wait for the Turkey. Enjoy your Thanksgiving everybody!

| Sold Out Cruise!!! | 08.22.06 |
This is a picture of what the Booze Cruise looked like when we were done with it last Saturday! If you look closely I think you can see Golarz puking over the side of the life raft. The guy next to him holding his hair out of his face would be Stuey Tornado. A few too many people and a few too many drinks is always TOO good a time. Thanks to all those who came out and made it a success. It was great to hear everyone singing the words to the new songs and really good to see a ton of new faces mixed in there with some of the familiar ones.
Summer isn’t over yet though. There is another chance to catch Averi in Georgetown this coming Sunday afternoon! It is an all ages outdoor show and is bound to be a great time as usual. Hope everyone’s summer is still going as well as ours and we’ll see ya this weekend! best

| Hootie, Jovi...and Some Open Waters!! | 07.04.06 |
So what we have here(in case you happened to notice this delightful pic to our right) is a shot, taken by AVERI's own MC during his Jovi period....oh wait...period?...it never ended(yes, our road warrior and trusty bus, Big Blue, is riddled with screams of 'Wanted Dead or Alive' and 'Runaway' routinely, guess who's responsible?). But what's important here is that we bring the attention to why this pic was taken: to showcase two of the worst clothing decisions made by members of the human race.
Here we have our old friend, Jon Bon Jovi -- if that's even his real name, I mean c'mon, what are the chances of having a first name that rhymes so well the with first part of your last name...that's it, Tornado's name is offcially changed to 'Stu Boo-Rovee'! And he will be responding to this and this only!!
Oh yes, back to the clothing choices by our Jersey compatriots....seriously Jon, a f*cking sweatshirt with the sleaves cut off...it's practically a f*cking halfshirt...those were never cool. History is wrong, don't belive the hype, and no, they will never be cool so let's start cleaning some grease or oil or some other car by-product up with it. And Ritchie...yeah, the guy who some of the hottest ladies in Hollywood seem to go to pieces over, well let's just say, it CAN'T be over the Beatles outfit...WTF!!! Yeah, the Beatles were the greatest band ever and they had unique and clever ways of dressing for album covers and some short films...but Ritchie, you're from Jersey and play songs like 'Lay Your Hands On Me' and 'Bed of Roses'...let's leave the Sgt. Pepper gear back in your closet in Hoboken and opt yet again for the ripped black T and some leather trousers, with the cucumber pouch...you know, the ones you wear every show. You should know what I'm talking about, don't pretend you don't...again.
And AVERI may just get to see these leather-clad wonders up close. Mix 98.5 has chosen them as a finalist to open for Bon Jovi. But they need to pull out the win in the finals this THURS. July 6th at 12:30 p.m. at the Newport Yachting Club. Yes, that's 12:30 in the afternoon in lovely Newport...come scream and shout for the boys as they do battle of epic proportions on the road to Jovi...and help muster 'A Blaze of Glory' if you will (that's right, Young Guns II...which for the Jovi heads reading this, we are aware that this was technically a Jon Bon Jovi song performed during his quick solo jaunt before returning to the stadium-shaking Bon Jovi). It's an ALL-AGES event.
Also on the way this week, AVERI pairs up with Hootie and the Blowfish in Worcester, MA, Sat. July 8th at 6 p.m. at Fitton Field. Tickets still exist for this event cause Hootie and AVERI 'only wanna be with you'...that's correct, more cheesy song quoting. Blame it on Ritchie for dressing like a complete idiot. Way to go my man! Going forward, everything is the fault of Ritchie Sambora.
Hopefully you have already got your tix for the Event of the Summer!! The AVERI/Alternate Routes Summer Cruise on Aug. 18th!! But tickets are still available to get in on this open water party...it's gonna make last year's sold-out AVERI boat cruise look like a wine and cheese party with a bunch of nerds from the chess club. Come Aug. 18...you're in for the night of your life!!
Check the 'Shows' page for all the details 'bout the madness starting this week! Crazy fun in the summertime...that's how we do it!

| AVERI goes Mobile and more… | 05.31.06 |
There is always a lot going down here at Thunderdome and this week is no exception. We just got a new toy... We call it AVERImobile! Now we can send you text and picture messages from the road and more. By more I mean that we have the ability to conduct polls, contests, other chances to win, etc. all for FREE. So you can help to influence the songs on the upcoming album, weigh in whether or not Matty needs to chop off that mop on his head, or get a picture of us shaving off Golarz’s eyebrows while he’s passed out in the van …AS IT HAPPENS!! We are probably the wrong band to get a hold of this technology because it is going to lead to some seriously funny things. If you want to get involved with us and AVERImobile just send JOIN AVERITXT to 8762 and you’re IN! We will be testing it out on the road this weekend on our trip to VA. We have a few shows down there we are looking forward to so it should be a great time and there should be some good stories to bring back. But if you want to be the first to hear about what’s going down then join us on AVERImobile and sign up now!
We also have reached another milestone, this time at MYSPACE. The band that is friendly just got friendlier. We have reached over 10,100 friends on MYSPACE and growing daily!! Thank you so much to everyone who checked in and has signed up to be our friend. We are extremely humbled. If you’re not one of our MYSPACE friends yet head on over and befriend us. We would love to have you as our friend and there is always exclusive content on our MYSPACE that you can only access as a friend. Content like “The Matty Cam,” a unique perspective of what the show looks like from the seat of Averi’s own Stevie Dirtbike.
Well, we will fill you in on the events in VA when we get back. Until then, stay cool and sign up for some Averi stuff. It’ll be fun.
To the AVERImobile people who have already signed up…we’ll text this weekend.
Best - Averi

| Averi Gets You All Wet | 05.16.06 |
…literally! This weekend showed the true guts of Averi supporters. There was a state of emergency, flood warnings, roads closed, detours, and NOTHING stopped the soaking wet and screaming crowds from packing into The Big Easy and Milly’s this weekend. And nothing stopped Averi from rocking the soggy roofs off their rafters just to give a big” F YOU!!” to the rain gods. There were even two girls who skipped out on their Senior Prom and drove hours just to see us at Milly’s. That is dedication my friends! And besides, it was a crappy night to be in a prom dress anyway. Seriously who wants to sit in a damp prom dress, eat some half ass dried up chicken and be forced to listen to “Wonderful Tonight” for the 8,000th time. Screw that!! Nice choice girls!
We also had a few other people out this weekend that you may see a lot more at shows coming up. I would like you all to join us in welcoming Ray and Aaron to the Averi family. Ray and Aaron are good friends of ours, great guys and our new videographers. You will be seeing their work soon on our website and our myspace. We will be doing a series of “On The Road with Averi” and “In The Studio” shorts films that are guaranteed to both entertain and offend…Averi style… so enjoy.
Lastly speaking of “On The Road With Averi” here is a picture of “On The Road with Sleepy Stuey Tornado” We made fun of his headphones for so long that he actually fell asleep during the ridicule. We like to call this picture “Asleep In The Control Tower” If I could photoshop planes crashing into each other in the background it would be funnier but for now just use your imagination.
PS –He has no idea we took this picture so his response to this should be priceless. and… drum roll...BIG News to announce REALLY SOON…best -Averi

| Making The Move!! | 04.25.06 |
It feels so good to be on the road. There is always a wonderful sense of security in what you are familiar with but the uncertainty of the unknown is refreshing and exciting and we are eating it up right now! We had a great time on the road in Pennsylvania and NY this week and everyone was amazing. There were Averi supporters showing up from all over with Averi shirts and tons of love. So thank you to all who came out to visit us, support us and make us feel right at home. We will do it again real soon. Promise.
We also got a good chance to get out and see some vast landscapes. I am not sure how many of you are into wine but there is a stretch of road from NY to Pennsylvania that is lined for hundreds of miles with vineyards. It is really impressive. I took this picture of some of the vines just starting to bloom for the season. Being that in touch with nature can really put you in touch with yourself or in our case... just relax you so much that you feel like you have to CRAP!! So the “vine watching experience” was short lived before it was on to the next rest station.
And speaking of which, rest stations actually start to become exciting on the road. After being in a vehicle for hours you actually start to look forward to stretching out and grabbing a Cinibon or burrito or something else that is going to make you inevitably have to stop again in like 20 mins. Plus the place is crawling with weirdoes. It always looks like the Creature Cantina from Star Wars. There is everyone gathering in these places from every walk of life. I really think someone could sit at a rest area and talk to people coming through about their travels and their life stories and have a pretty interesting book on their hands...or at least a book that helps you CRAP!!…I don’t know.
More from the road soon but for the next few weeks we are LOCAL!!!… or LOCO…which is it?…both I guess, but very LOCAL so check the shows section and come on out to see us. We can’t wait to see everyone and be playing back around home with some new tunes to boot! In a bit.

| Sold Out Shows!!!! | 03.13.06 |
Last Friday we played Milly’s in Manchester NH to a completely sold out screaming crowd!! What an amazing night. We have never seen that place sooo packed. Great weather, great people, great music…it was such a great night. Hopefully those of you who were not able to make it out that night or not able to get in the door will come check us out real soon. An Averi show is ALWAYS an event and there is always new stuff happening. Those who were at Milly’s got to hear the first glimpse of some of the new songs we have been writing. Those will keep showing up at every show from now on so make sure to come on out and check us out. We saw a ton of people at the show that we haven’t seen for a bit and we saw a ton of new faces as well, so for those of you that we knew…”Good to see YA!” For those of you who were there for the first time…”Welcome aboard and I hope we were gentle.”
As always more shows keep pouring in so keep an eye peeled on the Shows section for when Averi is coming to your town.
And recording continues!!!!! In fact we have scheduled our studio dates and we have secured good friend and acclaimed producer Scott Riebling (American Hi –Fi, Letters to Cleo, Elco Drive, Drawn to Revolving Doors) to produce our new album, so we are in very good hands.
We’ll keep you informed right here of the latest happenings from Thunderdome as they happen. Keep checking back.

This is a picture of Chuck D from Public Enemy. We saw him and a ton of other celebs at the NACA National Convention this past week where we performed. I know it is hard to tell that it is Chuck D because the picture looks fuzzy. But anyone who knows Chuck D in person knows that Chuck D is just a little fuzzy. That’s kind of his “thing” if you will. So it’s not the camera. He photographs a bit like Bigfoot, always a bit out of focus. It’s one of the many things that makes Chuck D so cool. We also saw Wendy the Snapple Lady, Jim Brewer, some of the cast of The Real World and Mr. Belding from Saved By The Bell and many others.
The best news is that we got A TON OF SHOWS!!!!! This year is going to be absolutely AMAZING and we will be making our way out to just about every part of the US and much farther west than we could have ever imagined. Make sure to keep an eye out, as our shows section will be filling in very quickly. We just may be on our way to see YOU!! That’s right, YOU in TX, IL, CA, FL …etc etc!!
There will also be new songs making their way into our set very soon as the recording and writing for the new album continues. So come on out and feel the Averi oozing forth unlike ever before!
And special thanks to everyone who came out to the show at BU. It was a fun sweaty time. Thanks for having us back.
Stay tuned for more Averi news from Thunderdome…Right here at averimusic.com… back to you Tom...Tom?..DAMN IT! WHERE'S TOM???...huh?...UNION BREAK!!???...SON OF A....!!!!

Rough recording of new stuff has begun! We have had a bunch of power writing sessions and some amazing stuff has resulted. We have been demoing a bunch of new material and will start to sift through it to narrow in on what we like best. It won’t be easy because there is so much material and so many great sounding tunes that it is hard to know where to start. The plan is to just dive in, keep turning em’ out and let you guys help us pick which ones you like best. It won’t be long before some are ready to play out live. So far they are a great mix of that classic Averi sound with a new rockier edge…rockier is a word right? Well it is now.
There will also be some samples on the site to check out and more live stuff both on this site and our myspace. If you haven’t been there to hear some new live stuff…check it out. So keep checking back in as things are happening quickly as always and new shows are added to the site on the regular. In fact, thanks so much to everyone who came out to the Tammany Hall show. It was completely packed and a great time as always. Can't wait to see yall out at the next one.
Hope everyone has been enjoying this summer…err ahh winter weather or whatever they’re calling it. Actually we are going to be showcasing at NACA in a few weeks and are hoping to pick up a few shows in some warmer climates. We heard that some Hawaii colleges are sending their delegates to book a rock band so we all have our fingers crossed for a spring LUAU. I see a total Greg Brady/ Tiki god issue in our near future. We’ll make sure to keep Stu off the surfboards. See ya in a bit.

The Shows this week were soo much fun. Anyone who can get out to an Averi show should definitely come check one out. We have been having more fun than ever. We had our first official show this week with Mike Golarz or GoldStar as he has come to be known. We played up at Sugar Loaf Mountain in Maine. It was a long ride but a few situation puzzles and a few hours of making fun of each other and before you knew it we were there. We had an amazing show. It felt really good to be up there performing again for all of us. The place got packed by the middle of our set and we had lots of crowd participation from those die hards up in front (you know who you are.) Special thanks to Dane and crew for helping out with “8675309”…good stuff, my man. Everyone was super nice and we got a chance to hang for a while and meet a ton of new people so thank you to all who showed up. We will be doing it again in Boston at the paradise on the 7th and in Worchester on the 28th. Come check it out if you can.
In Maine they also put us up in a great condo with a fireplace and after chopping up a few of the kitchen tables we had a raging fire going…maybe it was the varnish. It may have also been the fumes that kept Lydon and Tilden locked in a chess match until 4:00 in the morning with Lydon falling asleep at the table between moves. Believe it or not he won. That is a testament to his competitive nature because Tilden it a tough one to beat.
And as living proof of his competitive nature we have this picture. This was taken on my camera phone at a local McDonalds. We made a brief stop in Maine to grab some food for the rest of the 4 hours home. We had looked for something healthier but nothing else existed. Not that nothing else healthier existed but we were way up in Maine…I mean NOTHING else existed. This McDonalds was the only thing around for hours. So we go in. We are just about the only people in there. We sit down to eat and this old lady who works there comes up to our table and starts talking smack. She was saying that she bets that I am the troublemaker of the group and if she had to she would come back and put us all in our places. She then proceeds to tell us how she arm-wrestled 45 high school kids one day. I said, “Wow 45 kids!…All at once?” she said, “yup.” Then the number jumped to 90 kids so I said “90 kids all at once?” This time she caught on and wasn’t laughing but Matt was. In fact I think he had soda coming out of his nose on that one. So she glared at him and told him he had to arm wrestler her and that she was going to take him down. The wager was a quarter pounder with cheese. In case you were wondering Lydon destroyed her….shattered her arm in 4 places. The funny thing to me was that everyone else that comes in there probably lets her win…not Matt. He said, “Screw that dude. I’m not letting this old bag talk smack and win. I’m taking her down.”
More exploits from the road soon!!!
Best
